The article Introduction to SS was more of an introduction guide to how to actually look and understand the Snapshot Serengeti project. It was a shorter article that was made to show what the Snapshot Serengeti project did and how it was set up. The article gave information about what exactly the Snapshot Serengeti was. In the article it stated that over 225 cameras are set up as traps to observe the animals in their natural habitats. The camera collects lots of data such as the month it was collected and the events that are taking place in the Serengeti National Park. The camera traps captures information such as the latitude/longitude of the images location, the animals trail, and their vegetation.  Lastly the article summaries what the scientist use and need this information for. It states that scientist use the information collected to measure and model population growth and other dynamics. The scientist are specifically looking for the carnivores coexistence with each other, how they compete and hunt on prey, and the same with herbivores as well. The scientist want to look at images to get a peek at the way that herbivores, and carnivores interact with certain things in their own natural habitats. This one article can tell my partner and I so much. This article was specific enough to allow me to understand what I will be looking at when collecting data, how much data I can gather, and the specific meseaserments of our data. The information in this article can be very helpful with answering my partner and I’s research question.
